HTWT - About This Site

This site is much more than just an online resume. In today's fast moving and constantly changing economy hiring managers shouldn't settle for the old single-spaced 12pt font on white, 24lb bond paper - that's sooo 20th century. The fact is everyone has internet access and no matter who you are, from the sole proprietor with a lawn mowing business to tech giants like Microsoft and Intel, the employer of today needs someone who is tech-savvy and articulate.

Have Talent - Will Travel shows employers my tech-savvy but it goes much further than the traditional one-page resume ever can. If I were to turn in a ream of paper with a list of all my accomplishments, skill sets, recommendations and a portfolio of my work, needless to say, you'd be overwhelmed! But by putting all that information on the web I give today's hiring manager as much - or as little - as he or she has time or the desire to digest. By providing this new tool to you I put myself above the crowd, above even those candidates who might hand in a resume on scented pink paper or use a CRAZY FONT.

In short, this site tells you three things:

I'm tech-savvy. I can, at the very least, create a basic website.
I'm creative. Not only does this site outline my work history and skills, it showcases my design and writing skills.
I think outside the box. Yes, it's an incredibly tired cliché but it's still one of the most important things to look for in an employee. No company can expect to be on the cutting edge of innovation and, therefore an industry leader, by doing things the same old way. Innovation should start with your employees and it should start on day one. Who was the last person you hired who sent you a URL instead of that sheet of white, 24lb bond paper?
